WHAT IS TEDx?

Here are a few of our favorite TED and TEDx Talks.

Do Schools Kill Creativity

TEDx is a local gathering where TEDx talks are shared with the community. The event is organized by a licensed and authorized TEDx organizer and has a similar format to TED conferences. The “x” notes that the event is independently organized. TEDx events present fresh "ideas worth sharing" from local leaders, educators, entrepreneurs as well as anyone who has an idea worth sharing.

The event is hosted by an emcee and features a combination of live presenters and existing TED Talks.

As an attendee, what will the price of my ticket contribution be used for?

TEDx is a volunteer endeavor. All contributions go directly towards helping fund the event. The event will not be used to make money or raise funds for charities or organizations.

Can I speak at TedxWestMonroe?

Absolutely! We'd love to hear about your idea. If you have an idea worth sharing, we invite you to apply as a speaker.  Speaker applications will open soon.

How can I help?

TED’s mission is to foster learning, inspiration, and wonder. To do this, we rely on the community to help spread the messages and ideas shared at the event. We are also seeking sponsors who can help us with the cost of putting on this event, whether monetarily or through a donation of goods or services.

Sponsorship information will be available soon. We look forward to your help in fulfilling TED’s mission to help enrich our community with these ideas.
